Community Relations and Community Service & Engagement
MSU facilitates student learning through meaningful internship, volunteer, and service projects that inspire learning and civic engagement.
MSU's Community Liaison works closely with the Community Relations Coalition, the City of East Lansing, neighboring municipalities, and local landlords and property managers, while co-chairing MSU’s You Vote committee and partnering with various MSU entities (from ASMSU to the Office of International Student and Scholars).
MSUvote is your on-campus, non-partisan information source for the upcoming elections. We are calling on Spartans far and wide to registerto vote this election season, to educatethemselves on the issues that will affect them and their communities, and participate in local, state, and federal elections.
MSU embraces service-learning and civic engagement as viable and vital methods of fulfilling MSU's land-grant to world-grant mission, and supports academic service-learning as a teaching pedagogy.
One of the MSU Alumni Office’s long-standing featured offerings is the Coffee with the Profsseries which highlights research and work done by some of MSU's finest faculty and staff. Be sure to look at the Archived Series for numerous offerings that go back to 2013.
